Jeff Davenport - Remo Drumtuning Workshops

Jeff Davenport has been specialising in tuning drumkit for over 14 years.

Initially recommended by drummer Steve Smith to teach tuning at Mike Dolbear's UDE 2011, this is Jeffs 4th appearance at the event.

Jeff has offered practical tuning and drumhead advice to thousands of young and old drummers and specialises live demonstration of tuning techniques at trade events, drum-stores and music colleges all over Europe.

Jeff says: "If we're not all “round-the-campfire” regards tuning we're not really learning. The best way is through real-time demonstration and discussion amongst ourselves . We can then share and reveal some very simple techniques and principles of drum-tuning that make it not the dark art everybody thinks it is!

Mike's UDE is the fast track pathway to quick, simple and easy tuning of the drumkit. By the end of the sessions we understand what head to pick for what style of music and how to tune it for best effect.
